Finding a new home for Merlin. The Brother's have been in a home, but situation happened where they just had to move with their children and Merlin into an apartment. They love Merlin, but know an apartment is not best for him. I asked her to tell me a little about Merlin, so I could post about him for her.
Here is her email:
Thanks Marlo,
He's one of the pups we got from your parents from Hoss and
Nugget. He has Hoss's "face". But he's red. He helps us herd cattle
when we vaccinate them. He's very protective and is a great guard dog.
He is our pet but thinks it's the other way
around. He stays outside all day long, but as soon as he realizes we're
home, he needs attention and expects to be able to come and in and out
of the house. He is content as long as he knows he's not being kept
out. Oh yes, he is small. He only weighs about 30-35 lbs. Marsha
thought he might be the runt. But he has that "face" and Len fell in
love with him. He is nice to cats and other dogs and guinea pigs.
He did try to eat our bird until I made him submit; after that he let
the bird ride around on his back. He caught a rat that got in our
garage. He was never interested in hunting turkeys, but loved to sniff
out hogs. Oh he is an escape artist. We named in right, he really is
Merlin the magician. We had a "dog day"
at a friends house and Merlin got out somehow. We think he knows how
the gate latch works. But he never goes off too far. He always comes
back home and knocks on the front door. Yes he does knock on the door.
I guess that's it. He is a good dog and I'm going to miss him. But
I just can't keep him in an apartment. He needs to be able to run
around all day. He likes to be outside all day. He even plays in the
rain and tries to catch the drops.
Anyway, I can be reached by email or by cellphone. 210-978-4809. Email address: jen.brothers@gmail.com
Thanks again Marlo
